1. General Information
Welcome to A Caking Hand. By booking a class, workshop, or service, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
All classes are designed for beginners unless otherwise stated.
2. Bookings & Payments

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot.

Bookings are confirmed only once payment has been received.

All prices are listed in AUD and include GST (if applicable).
3. Class Participation
-
Participants must arrive on time. Late arrivals may miss important instructions.

All tools, equipment, and materials will be provided unless otherwise stated.
-
You will take home your finished cake at the end of the session.
4. Allergies & Dietary Requirements
-
Our kitchen may handle common allergens including (but not limited to) gluten, dairy, eggs, and nuts.

It is the participant’s responsibility to inform us of any allergies at the time of booking.
-
We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
5. Health & Safety
-
Participants must follow all safety instructions provided during the class.

A Caking Hand is not liable for injuries resulting from misuse of tools or failure to follow instructions.
6. Photography & Media
-
Photos and videos may be taken during classes for marketing purposes.

By attending, you consent to being included unless you notify us prior to the class.
7. Intellectual Property

All class content, techniques, and materials are for personal use only.
-
They may not be reproduced, taught, or distributed without permission.
8. Changes to Classes
-
A Caking Hand reserves the right to modify class content, instructors, or schedules where necessary.

If a class is cancelled by us, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
9. Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk
By attending a class or workshop with A Caking Hand, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Participation at Your Own Risk

You understand that cake decorating and baking activities involve the use of tools, equipment, and materials that may pose risks, including but not limited to:

Sharp tools (e.g. palette knives, cake scrapers)
-
Hot surfaces (e.g. ovens, heated ingredients)
-
Slippery floors or spills
-
-
You voluntarily participate in all activities at your own risk.
Responsibility for Personal Safety

You agree to follow all instructions provided during the class.
-
You will use all tools and equipment safely and as directed.
-
You are responsible for your own personal well-being during the class.
Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, A Caking Hand is not liable for:

Any injury, loss, or damage sustained during or after the class
-
Any allergic reactions or food-related sensitivities
-
Loss or damage to personal belongings
-
Medical & Health Acknowledgement
-
You confirm that you are physically able to participate in the class.

You agree to inform us of any relevant medical conditions or allergies before the class.
Damage to Equipment or Property

You agree to take reasonable care when using all tools and equipment.
-
Any intentional or negligent damage to property may be charged to the participant.
Children / Minors
-
A parent or guardian accepts full responsibility for any child attending.

Children must be supervised at all times unless stated otherwise.
Personal Belongings
-
Please keep personal items secure.

A Caking Hand is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
1. Cancellations by Participants
Due to preparation time and ingredient costs, all bookings are non-refundable.
-
More than 7 days before class → Eligible for a one-time reschedule or class credit
-
Within 7 days of the class → Not eligible for reschedule or class credit
2. No-Shows
- If you are unable to attend and do not notify us in advance, your booking will be forfeited. Unfortunately, no refund, reschedule, or class credit will be provided.
3. Rescheduling
-
Rescheduling is available once per booking, subject to availability, and must be requested at least 7 days before to your class.
4. Class Credit
Class credits:
-
Are valid for 6 months from the date of issue
- May be transferred to a friend or family member
- Must be used for a future class, subject to availability
- Are non-refundable
5. Cancellations by A Caking Hand
If we need to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, low attendance, emergencies), you will be offered:

A full refund, or
-
The option to transfer to another class date
6. Minimum Attendance
Classes require a minimum number of participants.
If this is not met, the class may be rescheduled or cancelled with notice. In this case, you will be offered a reschedule or a full refund.
Final Note:
By booking a class, you agree to this Cancellation & Refund Policy.
